YOUTH WORK

children's work

creche

Our creche runs on a Sunday morning for children aged from 0-2 years old.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Picture
Our Sunday school runs for children aged 3-10 years old and lasts for the duration of the Sunday morning service. Children take part in activities related to the stories of the Bible. The aim of our Sunday school is to teach children the truths of the Bible, and the importance of displaying these truths in the way we live; caring for one another, forgiving others and putting Jesus first in our lives. It is a very lively, fun and happy environment where children are active and very much encouraged to contribute to discussions and ask questions. Parents are expected to collect their children once the Sunday morning service finishes.

tea time special

This is held at the moment once a month for 5-9 year olds on Thursday at 5pm. A happy time of fun, games and tea together in our coffee shop. For further details, enquiries can be made through our contact us page.

teens and students

tiffies teens

This monthly meeting caters for our 10-16-year-olds. We meet in the Church bookshop for games, fun, eats and to learn more about what the Bible says. If your teenager is interested in joining us, please use the contact us page.

STUDENT GROUP

This group caters for those from 17 years. It's an opportunity for young people to get together and grow in their faith. We get together on a monthly basis on a Sunday evening to share fellowship, testimony and discuss the relevance of the Bible in our lives today. If you would like further details, please use the contact us page.

CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

Struthers Memorial Group of Churches has a comprehensive child protection policy. A copy of this policy is available in every branch church. People are welcome to view this policy by application to the minister. Everyone who works with children, young people or vulnerable adults is required to undergo training and to return a completed disclosure form from PVLG.
In Scotland, Mrs Alison Speirs B.A., D.C.E., Dip. SEN, is responsible for all matters of child protection. She can be contacted by email: alison@speirs.org. She would be very pleased to deal with any enquiries.

We have a wide range of activities on offer for young people of various ages in Struthers Church.  Please see below for more details.
