GREENOCK

GREENOCK

Picture
Greenock is where the Struthers Memorial Fellowship of Churches was founded in the 1950s by Mr. Hugh Black and Miss Elizabeth Taylor. The building was purchased from the outgoing Reformed Presbyterian Church congregation in the 1960s. The Gourock and Port Glasgow branches, also in the Inverclyde area, have separate local meetings on a Sunday morning but join the Greenock church for evening services on a Sunday. The minister of the Greenock church, Mr Black’s youngest daughter, Mrs Grace Gault, is also the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Struthers Memorial Fellowship of Churches.
